Success of internet marketing depends much on search engines and on the level of your website compliance with the basic rules and recommendations defined by search engine administration. Thus, along with webmaster guidelines Google also has a few basic don’ts for webmasters to be aware of. So, if you want to achieve success in Google search results, remember the following:
- Do not use hidden text or hidden links (for example, do not use text with zero font size or text in white on the white background);
- Do not use cloaking (cloaking means showing different content to users and to search engines);
- Do not trouble Google with automated queries;
- Do not spam with keywords (using too much of keywords on the web page or using; irrelevant keywords may be considered as spam);
- Do not duplicate content (do not create multiple pages, domains, or sub-domains with similar content);
- Keep away of phishing activity as well as installing viruses from your website;
- Avoid using doorways
- If you participate in affiliate program, take care to offer some original content to your visitors along with the affiliated content.
