That is why an internet marketing campaign can be successful only if it is build in compliance with certain guidelines and basic recommendations, provided by most popular search engines. Below we will speak about the recommendations from Google, one of the leaders of internet search industry. So, if you are about to dive into internet marketing, read the following statements and the knowledge will help you achieve your goals:
 
  • Your site should have a strict and clear hierarchy; there are should be at least one link leading to each page of your website;
  • Sitemap is important. Google recommends offering sitemap to your visitors to make their browsing experience more convenient; furthermore, sitemaps are of crucial importance for Google search engine itself. If you provide your sitemap to Google, it will be easier for them to detect all the pages of your web resource;
  • Website content should be useful and informative for readers; besides, website content should be relevant to your website key idea (if you want your website to help you sell furniture, it may not be the best idea to publish fashion newsletters on it);
  • Research your keywords – basically, keywords are those words that you think your potential customers would type into Google, searching for necessary products or services. The next step is to include those keywords into your website content (articles, descriptions, news, etc.);
  • Text is more preferable than images when you need to display important content, names, or links. Always supply images with relevant “alt” tags to describe what is displayed on them;
